The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has announced that under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of
the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah there is a new project in the pipeline that will transform Kalba Beach into a leading hub of tourism in the emirate’s eastern region.
The project will feature restaurants, cafés, kiosks, children’s zones and other facilities. There will be diverse entertainment options and public services. The Kalba Beach project construction will commence in Q1 of 2023 and will be inaugurated in Q1 of 2024.
Kalba’s natural life has been taken into consideration while developing the project. Shurooq development regulations are aligned to protect the area’s natural ecosystem. H.E. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Acting CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority
(Shurooq), says, “The Kalba Beach project will bring new value to Kalba city and to the tourist landscape of Sharjah’s eastern region. A larger area will be allocated for the beach.”
The project seeks to promote local entrepreneurship by prioritising the creation of business opportunities particularly for the region’s youth.
