Howard Johnson by Wyndham has arrived in Riyadh with a 99-room hotel in Al Nasiriyah, marking the brand’s debut in the Saudi capital.
The hotel occupies the former Saudia Hotel, which operated in the city for more than four decades. Renovated and completed in 2026, the property now has refreshed public spaces, upgraded accommodation, contemporary meeting facilities and enhanced dining and guest amenities.
Its location puts guests close to some of Riyadh’s key government, healthcare and cultural landmarks, including King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, the Saudi Central Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al Murabba Palace and the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre. King Khalid International Airport is around 43 kilometres away.
For downtime, there is an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a fitness centre and an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine. The hotel also has 140 square metres of meeting space across two rooms.
The August 2026 opening comes as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, with further projects under development in Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
